Supporting Rugby Union in Clubs and Schools throughout the County of Yorkshire
Regional Rugby Development Team
The Regional Rugby Development Team consists of the Regional Rugby Development Manager plus six Rugby Development Officers covering different Districts in the region. In addition the Rugby Football Union for Women has its own Development Officer who covers the whole of the North of England and a Regional Administrator.
The Rugby Football Union also has a Coach Development Officer, covering the North-East and a Referee Development Officer, who covers the whole of the North Of England.
Development Officers are supported by a number of Community Rugby Coaches. If your club has development needs then, in the first instance, talk to the Rugby Development Officer for your area who will be able to advise you on resources that may be available in your area. You should also ensure that your local District Sub-Committee is aware of your requirements.
The County is covered by a Development Plan drawn up in conjunction between the Rugby Development Parnership and the Development Team. Copies of the Plan will be available on this website, or by application to your local Development Officer. The Development Plan is supported by individual District Plans that have been compiled by the RDO in conjunction with the District Sub-Committees.
